SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025: Eligibility
Every candidate who wants apply for the post need to verify their eligibility before applying. There is certain eligibility criteria based on nationality, age and educational qualification which the candidates have to possess.
On the basis of Nationality
Nationality is one of the most important criteria to be proved. The applicant who wants to apply should be a citizen of India/ citizen of Nepal or Bhutan/ Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1 of 1962 to settle permanently here in India. The applicants of Indian origin but moved from several countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam and want to settle permanently in India, are also allowed.
On the basis of Age Requirement

On the Basis of Educational Qualification
DEO and DEO Grade A (DEOs of Department or Ministry is not included here) and Lower Division Clerk, The candidates should have passed the 12th standard. They must have to belong from science stream with Mathematics as a subject and must have passed from a recognised Board or equivalent.
DEO/ DEO Grade A in the departments like Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Consumer Affairs and SSC, The candidates must have completed 10+2 or 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

SSC conducts this exam in two different tires that is Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 examination contains objective type questions in CBT format means it is computer based. While Tier 2 examination will be descriptive and it will be conducted in pen and paper mode. This will contain Essay, applications, letters and precis. After that the candidates will call for skill test and Typing test.
This is completely qualifying in nature. Before digging into something you must have known the detail information about the examination pattern, syllabus and phases. Recently the pattern got changed. SSC CHSL Tier 1 examination will happen online. The time limit for the Tier -I exam has been reduced from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.

The candidates belong to General/OBC/EWS category have to pay Rs. 100. Candidates belong to SC/ST /PwD category along with women candidates are not exempted from paying any fee.
