University Grant Commission is Managing the Ishan Uday is scholarship program where only 10000 slots of this scholarship are released annually.
However, the North Eastern region are culturally rich, so the authority is providing 50% slots of scholarship to those students who are studying in a degree course in Arts, Humanities and other cultural disciplines. However candidates studying in the technical and medical sector will also get 50% reservation in the program.

Residency eligibility: All the Indian candidates are able to apply for Ishan Uday scholarship 2025 but the candidate is required to be a permanent resident of any of the state in North Eastern region in India.

UGC is offering from maximum scholarship of ₹8000 to candidates per month according to the course of the applicant which they are pursuing. If you are getting UG course in any technical Education including medical sector or engineering sector then you will get a monthly benefit of $7800 per month. However candidates who are you studying in non technical sectors will get a monthly scholarship of ₹5400 per month.

After passing the first year in the college, candidates can again apply for the renewal of the scholarship in the next academic session. It will be provided until you complete your UG course under the given timeline for 3 years to maximum 4 years.
